One would have thought the whole world should have "herd immunity" by now, since COVID19 has been around for over a year- unfortunately this is not the case- from Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center: Global Confirmed 94,579,284 Global Deaths 2,023,914 U.S. Confirmed 23,759,711 U.S. Deaths 395,851 and new cases

  7. With his team dealt some early-season adversity, including missing some top players, it provided Ice Flyers coach Rod Aldoff another teaching moment following Friday’s 4-3 loss in an extended, overtime shootout against Birmingham at the Pensacola Bay Center. “As I told them (in post game address), when we look at the last three games, we really have made the game hard on ourselves,” said Aldoff, whose team’s 3-0 start to the season has now been followed by a trio of defeats. https://pensacolaiceflyers.com/ice-flyers-see-some-positives-in-an-ot-shootout-loss/ View the full article

I look at it a little different. With those numbers they should be to the "Herd Immunity" real soon.

For the Havoc, it's a combination of players on the IR and on the "health concerns" list- most likely similar situations for the other teams. Doc

Just a rumor, mind you, but I heard it all started with Happy Hour Trivia & Karaoke @ the Hummingbird Stage & Taproom.
  11. Guess you really like the 3 on 3 OT play then, eh?
  12. I do not know. All we have heard is the official protocol announcement.

What's the story behind the postponements in Macon?
  14. So amongst those 4 teams that is 17 players being held out of their lineups due to positive tests, contact tracing, etc. And we are not playing at all this weekend. To have this many problems this soon and having to resort to 4 on 4 hockey just to keep from having to postpone more games is not good. Hopefully will not have a league shutdown, but I am beginning to get a little concerned.

My guess is it has to do with game rosters. Tonight, BIR and KNX each have 17, but HSV only has 15 and PEN only has 14 players dressed.
  16. I've always liked the 4 on 4 play. Fast play!!

Should be 4 beers for 4 bucks, to celebrate the on-ice oddity.
  18. Anyone know where to find the "Return to Play Protocols"? Or are they not public?

That's 20% less hockey. I really believe that calls for $2 beer.

The Havoc Facebook page says the games this weekend will be played 4 on 4.
