1 pointThe Dawgs (14-14) try to get back on track after losing both games from a home and home series with Fayetteville. The schedule will be the same this weekend as last. Play at home tonight and travel to Fayetteville for a Saturday night game. The Dawgs will also be playing a game with an early starting time on Monday at 1:05pm et. against the Knoxville Ice Bears. So come out and support our Dawgs as they fight for some much needed points on Friday and Monday afternoon. Go Dawgs!!
1 pointNot many teams could take on a vet spot with 501 games played. Maybe the Ice Flyers were the only one's willing to take a look at him.
1 pointI don't know the rule but I have found nothing about having to pass waivers after a suspension. Seems to me he has been out of the league for almost two years now and was not protected by anybody so he would be fair game to any team. This might be right but i'm not taking it as true because of Bus League Hockey's sources says thats the rule. Just look at this article from them put out the same day as the Jason Price article. They also say their FHL source gave them this list of players who have been called up or failed to report. Half of the players just played there a few games last season and counting them as call ups for this season. Few examples i've seen is Matt Beer for Roanoke. They have him on the failure to report list but he was on Roanoke's protected list and signed to play overseas sometime early in the summer. So there is no way he would have signed back with the FHL. They got Maxime Guyon as a player on loan when he was also on our protected list and played with us all along again this year. Also have Jimmy Soper who was called up last year by the Mayhem and still playing for them. Finally, they have Craig Skudalski on the list and he's been playing in the ECHL with Wheeling all year. There is plenty more on the list just like them. Took me just reading the names on the list to know their source is not credible. https://busleaguehockey.com/2019/01/17/how-hard-has-each-fhl-team-been-hit-by-sphl-call-ups-and-players-refusing-to-report/
