  1. Thanks to all you Dawgs fans that came to Knoxville.
  2. Nimanis, Kristaps (D) acquired in trade from Macon Mayhem to complete previous trade.
  3. After the fight was stopped the ref came over to the timekeeper and had him roll the clock down.
  4. 4-3 in OT. There was no play-by-play for most of the game, and the numbers are too hard to read, so not sure who our scorers were.
  5. Must protect our team PIMs lead...
  6. Yeah, 3 issues: guys hanging up their skates, too many vets with too many games, and the protected list...
  7. The Rivermen are the most penalized team in the league, although the Antz are pursuing. Griping about the refs won't really fix their PIMs.
  8. Judging from the lack of energy, there's a lot more guys sick than just Braely Torris.
  9. Looked like the home-and-home travel didn't do either team much good. Still, a good effort at the end of a three-in-three, six points this week.
  10. The first period did look like vintage KIB: no energy, no puck control.
  11. Well, they finally owned up to Plow with a torn meniscus. I knew something was up when I saw him in the runway on crutches during the scrimmage at the STH pickup event. I hoped he was just breaking in the crutches as a contingency
  12. That's what we've seen them do all year - a contender one night and a turkey the next. There's something missing between the ears...
  13. Yeah, but you didn't give us those two points... You posted 44 points both ways.
  14. We have two OT/SO losses, so our points would be 46 (not 44) putting us one point behind the Antz...
  15. Back in the previous ice age, when games could end in a tie, it made sense to give each team a point. When they went to "there must be a winner" rules, they kept the point for getting to OT. However, that has the perverse effect of rewarding the loser. So, as knoxhox and Montgomery have pointed out, the loser's point make very little difference, so why do it? It's a feel-good thing for the loser...but they still lost.
  16. I would be satisfied with a reliable audio stream. There is no action to shoot - I don't need video of two folks eating microphones.
  17. Capuano was the last coach of the Knoxville Cherokees - all of 16 games before they snuck out of town. He may be coach of the Islanders now but he has replaced Scott Gordon as the Isles coach. Scott was one of the Cherokees goalies in 93-94 (under Barry Smith), his last year as a player and the same year we briefly had Manon Rheaume.
  18. ...achtentachtig prachtige grachten... B)
  19. I see...someone can't decide between loathing hockey, or hating hockey. I guess they haven't thought about what it costs to leave the building empty.
  20. I though Halverson was just here for the playoff run.
