  7. As to innacurate reporting (i.e., wrong number of teams reported in another league) it is just emblematic of the lack of research (read laziness) of today's reporters. The 'seven team' number has not existed for what, 2 years now?
  8. Happy Birthday mbliesener!

  9. Congratulations Huntsville! If it couldn't have been Pensacola, then I'm pulling for the guys who beat us to go all the way. So, for the remainder of this season at least, Let's Go Havoc!
  10. Okay, I'll step up next. Been on here a while, but after last night's win in MS I'm pumped. I'm Michael. Went to the first Pilots game in '96, and probaby missed two or three games from then on, due to work. Was a STH for several of those years, and am one now with the Flyers. I started getting really interested in hockey during the '80 Olympics, and with further help from a buddy who was origionally from Canada. I'm in section 101. Glad to see the SPHL having measured growth. Hope the final regualr season game tonight is a sellout!
  11. That's great Seller! Something your grandson will never forget!
  12. I watched the game on B2, and it's amazing he got up at all. Bet he'll be back, if not for this Tuesday's game in Pensacola, then soon after. The Columbus announcers at first thought he was unconscious, and it looked like he was for a few seconds. Just glad he'll be alright! On a side note, I love listening to Mike Vee- great hockey announcer!
  13. Agreed on all points! It is indeed frustrating, because this team has some great players, and I hope we get a good nucleus back next year. It seems, however, like a couple of critical elements are missing for the team to be so inconsistent at this point in the season. True or not, then, such inconsistency is often attributed to coaching problems- nothing to do with Todd as a person-great guy, and likeable, but like any business, someone has to take the heat for the problems, and it's usually the one who is the on site leader; ergo, the coach. Tim Kerr is probably the most knowledgeable hockey owner we've had in the city's 13 year history in this game, so I have to maintain that he certainly knows what he's doing. I don't realistically expect a championship the first year in the league, but it would be nice to at least get to the second round.
  14. Seller, do you think Tim Kerr gave Gordon this year as reward for having a strong hand in getting hockey back to Pensacola? Or was it a matter of not wanting to change mid-stream? Louisiana did it 3 times, but strictly as a matter of necessity. I guess another consideration had to be, realistically, who could the Flyers get in a coach in this league, well into the season?
