  1. Jerome Bechard is Not the head coach for the Birmingham Bulls!!!
  2. Jamie Hicks is the new headcoach!!! NO JEROME BECHARD!!!
  4. It's been a fun season. Always enjoy when ya'll come to the Pitt and visiting you at the Plex. Glad to see your success! Go Mahem!
  5. If you like seafood, try Kudzoo Seafood Company. in downtown Macon. Great food and nice staff. Website We try to stop by there every time we go to Macon.
  6. we can talk till we're blue in the face about change, the fact remains there will not be changes to this team!!! based on what was said at last nights pregame show, coach likes this team, they are about to turn the corner, and we will start winning. he wants to prove that the choices he made were the right choices. said that bringing in somebody or bodies would not work. he has invested to much time and effort into this team. i have heard to many fans say they are ready to stop giving money to the cause.
  7. It is the facility next door to the civic center. That's where the public skates along with the college teams and local junior team practice. As well as Snakes practices.
  8. It's all been tragic for Columbus this year.....
  9. That was an amazing save! I hope they have it close up on video because he was completely beat and I still don't know how he intercepted that shot. He looked like Stretch Armstrong!
  10. ok - I get you. I'm not sure why the sports writer for the Ledger Enquirer is a bit slack in coverage (maybe because he's a rookie?) but he's called Shannon "he" or 'him" on numerous occasions. His work is nowhere near his predecessor's (Kathy Grierer). These are much better: http://ftw.usatoday.com/2015/12/shannon-szabados-sphl-first-woman-to-record-shutout-mens-pro-hockey http://www.cbssports.com/nhl/eye-on-hockey/25428012/shannon-szabados-becomes-first-woman-to-post-shutout-in-mens-pro-game http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-puck-daddy/shannon-szabados-picks-up-first-shutout-by-a-woman-in-men-s-pro-hockey-game-204650346.html http://www.cbc.ca/sports/hockey/shannon-szabados-registers-first-shutout-1.3381366
  11. apples and oranges - if they were all in a men's league I would agree with you but you want to stand on semantics instead of giving props when they are due. Male or female a shut out is special - ask any goalie and defensive player. Props to what the women are doing with their new league (I wish them much success) and CONGRATULATIONS SHANNON. You are a class act.
  12. I applaud you as one season ticker holder to another and you are entitled to your opinion just like everyone else. I spend plenty of money myself at home and on road trips but at the end of the day all that gets me is entertainment. I understand the frustration. No one wants them excell more than season ticket holders. I just think that there are things we don't see or know about that affect play and I don't appreciate stuff like I witnessed at the game last night.
  13. Thanks for the support Snakes fans! I'm sure they will run right out and play rings around everyone knowing what great support they have! Go Snakes!
  14. We support ALL of our players and coaches.
  15. I guess you were one of the non "PC" folks cheering when she was pullled. Very classy. I would never cheer the demise of a player on a team that I supported - male or female. You should be ashamed of you did. Didn't see any of you cheering any goals being scored. Get real - it's easy to blame the goalie but you don't win games without scoring goals. Guess the goalie was responsible for the turnovers too. So where is the angst about that? I've said the same in previous seasons that sometimes it looks like the guys didn't seem to play as well for one goalie as they do for another but I don't play hockey and I'm betting that none of you armchair coaches do either so its easy to take potshots when you have no idea what it's like to play professionally. I'm sure that they suffer many of the same issues that most athletes face - whether physical or mental - sometimes you're just not up to par no matter how hard you try. These are people; not video game figures. Look at Lousiana the night before - they lost by the same score. It happens. No reason to throw the baby out with the bath water. It's so rediculous to trash your own team. Bet you'd be the first out there whining if the team went away and you didn't have hockey. Funny how folks say brazen things online but are all sweetness and light when they are in the same room with the players and coaches.
