  1. I agree, Ried is a hard working Dman for the Kings. I am excited to see him come back. Being selfish, I hope he stays, but can't blame the guy for wanting to grow in his career. I was saying that I think that there have been other players that have not been producing as well as Polino that may have given the Kings a better rotation up front.
  2. Granted he clears waivers, looks like Campbell is coming back. Not sure if it was the best waiver but I hope it pays off! We will see how it goes, long week ahead of them. See y'all Saturday!
  3. Yea, they did say the proceeds went to a charity, just don't remember what one.
  4. Stayed after for the jersey auction. Was a new style called "bidders choice" they started at a number ($400ish) and highest bidder got to pick the jersey of there choice. Originally there were 10 auctioned off ended up selling 12. Here is the break down of price and number. $700-87 $550-15 $550-22 $500-28 $500-19 $450-55 $450-35 $450-91 $450-24 $450-23 $425-09 $450-10 Keep a heads up on the website for the remaining jerseys as they will be auctioned off at a different time.
  5. Well, now we have seen the Kings play a couple pre-season games. Looks like we have a dramatic change compared to last year. Landmesser put together a good squad, cant wait to see what the final roster looks like. It will be interesting to see who Landmesser picks for between the pipes. Although he's unsigned, Dustin Carlson looks to have done a decent job.
  6. I didn't see Chris Wilson either, great all around player for Pensacola. I agree that with the NhL taking the year off it may push some talent down to the SPHL. I just hope we get some of that talent.
  7. The best thing I can tell you about the roster is on pointsatreak.com and select the current years roster. Although it doesn't show you numbers it has the names posted there. http://pointstreak.com/prostats/teamplayerstats.html?teamid=325945&seasonid=9517
  8. I know its a little early in the camp, but has anyone been able to make it out to the Training Camp? Just wondering what is going on with our Riverkings this year.
  9. I wouldn't say it just you. Who takes a goalie whos carried you through 2 wins and sits him? Rumor has it sibbald is still looking for a new home.
  10. The riverkings played really well last night. If they can continue to produce the same physical game as they did last night the opportunity is there to turn the season around. I'd rather watch bad hockey then see no hockey here, the team has the possibility to turn things around. Willson was on top of his game last night. Continue the physical beatings and the rest will fall into place.
  11. Maybe this is the help that the Kings need. Bullett may have played with Sault while either were at Chi-Town.
  12. As Little as Williams was he should not have be the person to go with Towns. The "scouts" for this team need to get their heads out of their rears and pick up somone that will helpout physically while Karasiewicz, Tuomi, Varga, Magnowski and the rest of talent attempt to score. I dont think management looked into the Ramage - Pontes trade very hard prior otherwise they would realized that the Riverkings got the short end of that trade fast. Sich had it coming, he not only got the team suspension, but he also was suspended for 3 by the SPHL.
  13. We all should have seen this one coming: Mississippi RiverKings 12/13/11 Williams, Nick (D) released from 3 game tryout Mississippi RiverKings 12/13/11 Sich, Robert (RW) placed on team suspension I would like to see an aggressor being signed to the team, not only to help generate some entertainment value but would also help protect some of the younger talent that the team possess. Someone like Neil Posillico who was waived earlier from the FHL. As far as the struggling defense maybe someone like Patrice Brunet. Anything is better then what we have now!!!
