  1. Why would you start Bonar if Parker starts game 2 and wins? That makes no sense. And it doesn't matter if the Refs aren't making the calls the team still have to find a way to put the puck into the net.
  2. Happy Birthday ahousedivided!

  3. If he was released then Macon doesn't own his rights. He is a free agent to sign with anyone.
  4. Technically Macon is in 9th due to Col having games in hand.

    Salary Cap

They tried a 60 game season back in 08-09 I think but went back to the 56 game because they lost money so I don't see it going up anytime soon. And a $400 a month increase of the cap wouldnt do much. Evenly that would be like $23 bucks or so per player. Now if the went as much as $7500-8000. That would make sense. The cap has been the same for as long a league has been operating yet inflation a raised everything except the money they pay the players.
  6. Pie he is a good announcer but a really big homer. Any penalty called on the Snakes is a bad call and any penalty called on the opposing team is just shy of attempted murder.
  7. I think the real goal is for it to be affordable to own and run an SPHL team since they haven't raised the salary cap once since the league started. You would think it move a little considering inflation and all.
  8. And a -13 which isn't good for a D-man.
  9. Alright. Another quirky thing about the SP. But I guess that keeps cost down not paying for 20 players. I do wonder though when a team has players on 3-gamers does their pay count against the $5600 a week cap?
  10. They will keep 7 D. Most if not all of the teams go with 11 Offense 7 Defense and 2 goalies. This allows for injuries during game, a lil more break between shifts, or just changing things up. I don't think you would see a team go with just 6 Defensemen unless you have a forward that can also play D. No team at this level rolls 4 lines on offense.
  11. Happy Birthday ahousedivided!

  12. Anyone not on protected rosters will be fair game for an expansion draft where Macon will be able to pick for their protected list.
  13. Well he hasn't played in like 2 weeks so im sure he was rusty. And at least he didnt give one up from the red line like Pavlic did for Winipeg the other night who hadn't played in 3 weeks. Either way he won't be back this year
  14. I wasn't taking a shot at the BC. More like a shot at the GM who won't pay for the proper job. He would rather barter or use other people's stuff to advertise instead of spending anything on trying to get butts in seats. So it wasn't a slam on the BC. Trust me (former BC member) I know yall would have the right team on the flyer at least.
