  1. Travis Armstrong

    Can't wait until tomorrow night.
  2. Yes seen Reichenbach made the Norfolk Admirals roster, I was impressed with him late last year.
  3. Well looks like Beirnes and Armstrong have both made their ECHL squads in Wheeling and Indy so probably won't be seeing them in Roanoke this year.
  4. See they shipped Massimo Lammachia in the deal, wish we still had him Roanoke, I know we got Spraggs out of the deal but he may stick in the ECHL, so would rather have Massimo still.
  5. Congrats to him, moving up is what it's all about, but I will say I'm disappointed, I kept waiting for him to be our 1st signing of the year, I guess now I know why he wasn't. Good luck Jeremy Beirnes!
  6. But the franchise would pay almost 3x the operating budget if they moved to the ECHL, when your spending $600,000 estimate in operating cost those in the ECHL average over $2 Million. Roanoke's last season in the ECHL the attendance was almost 2,800 a game compared to 3,175 this season in our 1st SPHL season. The new owners at least broke even or even made some money vs the last season in the ECHL that ownership group lost $700,000.
  7. Welcome to the Forums and the SPHL, looking forward to an awesome 2017-18 season.
  8. I know the playoffs start tonight. We had a blast here in Roanoke in our 1st year, even though we didn't make the playoffs good luck to those that did and look forward to being there next year.
  9. next season

It's my understanding there are multiple players to each house, I for one would think it would be a good investment by the owners to purchase houses for players to stay in during the season, usually real estate in a good investment and if taken care of will always get back more than what they paid for the houses in the beginning.
  10. That's awesome and just goes to show everyone again this ownership gets it, and will be successful for years to come.
  11. Yeah I wish I could forget that season, traded Beaureguard for some fighters IIRC, got nowhere near back in talent what they should have gotten, Bert took over the coaching for the remainder of the season, it was just one desperate attempt after another to get fans in the building.
  12. No, they owed so many people in this valley thousands of dollars, I believe when they took off they owed the Civic Center $30,000 in unpaid rent payments, IIRC I think the LLC they that the Dixon's had the company under filed bankruptcy, wasn't worth my time or effort to get back $700, would have spent more trying to get it back.
  13. Yeah the Vipers were a train wreck from Day 1, I was also stupid enough to renew my season tickets with them the following year because they promised they would be there the following season, still have never gotten my money back on those. I feel bad for the staff of the Vipers though, they worked their butts off but the owners were absolutely horrible they left town owing a lot of people and companies a lot of money, that definitely had an impact on why it took so long for us to get hockey back again. Thank god for the ownership group we have in place now. Can't wait until next season.
  14. We Win!!!!

Probably one of the best games I've seen this team play all year for all 3 periods, would have been fun if this team had played like they did tonight all season. Looking forward to next year. Have a feeling we are going to get some better players with a year under our belt and other players playing here in Roanoke for other teams and seeing first hand the building and the raucous atmosphere and the love we have for our players.
  15. Just seen in the Transactions that Beirnes has been placed on season ending IR, I wonder what happened to him between Friday and tonight.
