  1. I guess that ends the rumors of him retiring. Welcome back Steve Mele!!
  2. Not familiar with Knoxville's roster this past season and vets. But when they added Swider at the end of the year he alone had over 550 games played, so Knoxville only had 1 veteran on the team?
  3. Some good discussion, the common denominator is we need a fighter. LOL
  4. . We can have 3 vets on the team, with Nick Schneider retiring we have one Vet spot open
  5. Yeah Jake Schultz is another one I like, agree on Drobot, would rather have somebody that can skate a regular shift without it becoming a liability.
  6. Peoria didn't protect Cody Dion either. I'm not sure about Drobot IMO he doesn't bring much to the team other than fight. At least Dion or Sicard go both fight and put up points.
  7. Porter doesn't fit either and I never said he did, as to why he wasn't protected. I'm going to miss Vernace the most of the unprotected players. I just said I didn't think either Mueller and Bauer didn't fit, if Bremner thought they did they wouldn't have traded them away IMO.
  8. No thanks. Neither was bad, but I don't think they fit what Bremner was wanting to do with this team. I actually liked Bauer so if they could work it out... LOL
  9. Thanks that clarifies that one.
  10. Sorry didn't see your post before I posted new topic, I think we all knew Schneider was retiring. That's a big loss, but I liked what Daniel Vernace brought to the lineup. Plus opens up a vet spot for us as well for next year.
  11. http://railyarddawgs.pointstreaksites.com/view/roanokerailyarddawgs/news-1147/news_503904 Left unprotected are Nick Schneider (Retired??) David Gandara, Chris Porter, Patrick Harrison, Dumontier, Daniel Vernace, Taylor Love, John Gustafsson, and Matt Zenzola. My thoughts this actually opens a vet spot for the Dawgs, biggest loss besides Schneider IMO is Daniel Varnace.
  12. Yes, was going to say the same thing, I know attendance hasn't been as great the past couple of years, but was shocked to see this when I looked at the site a couple of minutes ago. Hopefully someone will come in and bring the team back in 2019-2020, but as with others what looks promising at 1st doesn't always end up with a happy ending. Thoughts are with all the Riverkings fans, we here in Roanoke had to go 10 years before we got another shot.
  13. Yeah was surprised we were playing Richmond and no fights. That years team had over 100 fighting majors with McDonald and Belza leading the way.
  14. I have a Shawn Limpright Roanoke Express game-worn jersey that I paid $350 for.
  15. Brought back some memories for sure. Recognized most of the player throughout the game looking forward to the seeing the next one you upload. Thanks
