  1. What did Jeremy Bernes do? 3 points 16 games. Last season, Drobot had 12 points. This season only 2. If he had more time on ice he could improve. When we had a good team on ice that we had last season, Drobot played more shifts. We don't have that this season hence the lack of play with Drobot. He is a fan favorite and a leader in the locker room.
  2. After watching the video, it did appear that Drobot did win this fight decisively.
  3. Dec 15th against Macon. Away game. Still cost $$$$ depending on what package you purchase to watch the away games.
  4. I agree with M3519 But, for those who are complaining about the complainers, I have a question. Have you ever been to a restaurant and recived your order either missing something or the food was cold and complained about it? I have and expect my order to be complete and warm/hot for what I'm paying for. It's the same for hockey. We spend a lot $$$$to watch a good hockey game. I'm ok with the team losing as long as progress is being made to improve the team. I'm a STH and I feel at times I'm not getting what I paid for. I am a true hockey fan and go to the games to watch a good game. A score of 10-2 is not a good hockey game. Go Marksmen!

I am also a true fan. And yes, I do criticize my team no matter what the sport is. If you are a true fan that understands how the sport is played, you have the right to criticize the decision making of a coach or player. I spent some time yesterday critizing my football team for trying a 4th and one (twice) verses kicking a field goal. There are fans true or not that may or may not understand how the sport is played that never criticizes the team that just goes with the flow which is ok also. The forum is a way to vent your opinions after a loss or even a win. We fans are helping to pay the salaries of each player or coach and have the right to complain if you feel your not receiving a good product on the ice.
  6. New ownership is a former Army Ranger and wanted to appeal to the large military presence in Fayetteville.
  7. Hoping this season will be hard lesson for ownership on how they need to compete in this league. They keep this up, we will not last the 5 years with signing a new lease agreement. Think about it, how many new owners in this league succeeded on their 1st season?
  8. He was placed on suspension on 1 Jan.
  9. Hoping coach is keeping in contact with Porter, Jeke and Shapiro. Jeke and Shapiro are both on the Icemen roster. I know we didn't protect Shapiro but hoping he returns if it doesn't work out in Jacksonville.
  10. We've signed 2 more forwards and skating only 4 D-men unless coach has someone showing up that we are unaware of for the weekend games.
  11. Mike Craigen

Not a great league to coach in when the league owner owns most of the teams.
  12. Mike Craigen

The Marksmen are witin reach of a playoff spot. Let's give the coach to a chance to improve the team. It's to late in the season to make any coach changes. We're going have to ride this one out and hope for the best.
  13. It is what it is! The only solution to this issue would be the SPHL allowing a larger roster for reserves but, then we a put team owners into a financial spot who joined the league for the reason of lower operating cost.
