  1. She's always around when Macon is in town cause of Dennis. So she likes when they come to town. She's hoping to make a game over to Macon to watch there.
  2. My daughter loves going to the games. She may not watch it much but she enjoys after the game. Going outside and talking to the players from both teams. But she always try's to find one who is friendly for kids from the opposite team. She likes Sicard (but who doesn't). She has a signed puck from Travis Granbois when he played for Bloomington.
  3. Question for you Havoc fans. Which player is the kid friendliest to an opposing team. My daughter is 10 and she looks to find that one player from every team to chat with. But she's wondering who is most friendliest for a kid from another team. Let me know.
  4. As a STH it sucks. JB claimed that this season would be better and still no signs of that. The captain is a joke. Was informed that every member would have to earn their spot. Well they must not have much competition to earn it since this is what we ended up with. I sat and watched during off season as all the teams were picking up several talent while Snakes sat back till camp and same ones showed up and got a job again.
  5. Rusty Hafner has returned to The Snakes. It's time for the Snakes to step it up and start dominating.

  7. The Snakes have added a few new names to the team. Cottonmouths daily transactions Tyrell, Corey (LW) signed 3 game tryout Senkerik, Petr (D) signed contract Hafner, Lukas (G) signed contract
  8. Who's ready for the SPHL season to get started?? The Snakes are heading to Macon to take on that in state rival. How many are making that trip over there to cheer them on? Let's Go Snakes ! ! ! !
  9. The Columbus Cottonmouths of the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) today announced the addition of four more players to their training camp roster. Forward Patrick McCadden returns to Columbus, joined by three rookies: forward Keegan Bruce and defensemen Cody Castro and David Watt. McCadden will be joining the Cottonmouths for his third professional season. In 111 combined games in Columbus, McCadden has 33 points off 13 goals and 20 assists. The 6’0”, 190-pound native of Chesterfield, Mo. in suburban St. Louis also spent 10 games in the ECHL last season between Fort Wayne and Toledo but failed to log a point. “Patty is a Cottonmouth through and through. He has been one of the most consistent players we have had over the past couple of years. He exemplifies what it is to be a Cottonmouth,” said Cottonmouths head coach and general manager Jerome Bechard. Bruce, a 6’1”, 195-pound forward, comes to Columbus after playing four years collegiately at the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minn. In 106 games there, he logged 76 points off 31 goals and 45 assists. Prior to college, he had a prolific two-year stint with Weyburn in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, notching 45 goals and 79 assists for 124 points in a combined 116 games from 2010 to 2012. “Bruce has put up some really good numbers both in college and in junior. He has a nose for the net and is willing to pay the price in order to do so,” Bechard said. Castro, a 6’2”, 215-pound defenseman, hails originally from Pasadena, Ca. After playing with Lethbridge, Tri-City, and Portland (WHL), Coquitlam (BCHL), Fresno (NAHL), and Yarmouth (MHL), he spent the past season with the South Alberta Institute of Technology, notching two goals and five assists in 29 games. “Castro has the ability to skate and move the puck for a big man. He is also bringing a physical presence on the ice, as well,” Bechard said. Like Castro, Watt also comes to Columbus by way of SAIT where he played from 2012 to 2014. He had a combined 21 points (5G, 16A) from 2012 through 2014 there. The 6’2”, 170-pound defenseman also had a long junior career between Brooks in the Alberta Junior Hockey League and Portland in the Western Hockey League. Between the two junior leagues, he scored 16 goals and 52 assists for 68 points in 196 combined games. “Castro and Watt both come from the University of Sait. Watt is a strong skater that has good hands. He reminds me of a Mike Switzer-type defenseman that can do a little bit of everything” Bechard said. Training camp begins next week for the Snakes and the rest of the SPHL. The team travels to Macon on Fri., Oct. 14 for an exhibition game against the Mayhem before hosting the defending champion Pensacola Ice Flyers in exhibition action Sat., Oct. 15 at the Columbus Ice Rink. The home opener is set for Sat., Oct. 22, also against the intrastate rival Mayhem. 10. Good day fellow hockey fans. I have been doing a fantasy hockey league on Yahoo for the past 3 years now. And plan to do another one this year. We draft just like any other league but we create a name to represent our SPHL team we follow. I am representing Columbus and I currently have someone for Antz. So looking to get someone for every team in the league. If your interested please leave me an email address and I will send you an invite. Thanks and good luck.
