  1. Coach Worrell seeking other coaching opportunities. Wish him all the best!
  2. NOTE: Although unprotected players can sign with other SPHL teams, they cannot sign with the SAME TEAM they most recently played for until August 1st.
  3. Unprotected... Kelley, Melkert, Palmer, Johansson, Cook, Pryce, Yim.
  4. Got it. http://www.thesphl.com/view/thesphl/news/news_517193
  5. Hey Thunderbolts --- Peter Worrell isn't the assistant coach in Fayeyteville any longer.
  6. I am sure he will be successful in his next adventure, whatever it is. He was well liked by the players & the community. Good luck Coach Worrell!
  7. Thank you for your decoder ring skills JMC! I was at a loss.
  8. I have tried, but can't figure out what you're trying to say here.
  9. Birmingham in three also.
  10. In Fayetteville, we have had FOUR team names - Fayetteville Force, Cape Fear FireAntz, Fayetteville FireAntz, and now Fayetteville Marksmen. All in the same venue - Crown Coliseum. All four with different ownership groups and (I'm sure) different paperwork with the league office. Even so, I am sure that if the Marksmen franchise won a championship, it would be heralded as whatever year THEY had operated (2019 as 2nd year, 2020 as 3rd year, etc.) It is all "Fayetteville hockey" per se, but after rebranding as the Marksmen, awards & titles would never be associated with former Fayetteville franchises. I know, I know....po-ta-toe, po-tah-toe, just saying.
  11. Not.alienated at all. Thanks so much for the info. That is awesome to know! Wish I had become a hockey fan at a younger age now.
  12. Forgive me...the "Mayhem" won in their 2nd season. Still impressive.
  13. Macon won the Cup in their second season, so maybe that is a good omen for the Bulls. To even reach the finals in year two is super impressive. Two of my favorite players are in Birmingham, so GO BULLS!!!
  14. I have never seen so many penalties called in one game. Awesome physical play, but I'm sure it was hard to get any rhythm of play going with the never ending whistles. Game 3 will be interesting if the same officials are on the ice.
