  1. I suppose but I am going to miss it, it was becoming a tradition for our family.
  2. Must mean Quad City and Peoria are coming to town
  3. I'm pretty disappointed the Thanksgiving game got nixed
  4. I thought he was done last year but then came back but I would say you're right that he will be hanging it up. What about Sova? Is that guy done playing for good now? I really hope Dion returns, I love that guys grit.
  5. I think Mele will hang them up, that's just a guess although I hope he doesn't I really liked his physical style he found this year. Surely Sova wants to play again, right? I mean why hang around if not other than front office experience I guess
  6. A few questions, is Mele coming back? I know he was on the fence last year Is Joe Sova healthy enough to play? You obviously have to protect Barone, right? Dion would be on my list along with Economos Armstrong and Murray, obviously
  7. No, Guy your Horses got punched in the mouth and folded like a cheap lawn chair. Put this one to bed Friday night boys!
  8. I'll eat crow on this one boys! Roanoke just came out and punched Peoria in the mouth and in the words of Mike Tyson everyone has a plan until they get hit.
  9. come on @JMC-STL it was a joke, kinda.... jk no really
  10. Tough sell on a Wednesday night with little notice, if Roanoke makes it out of the first round sales will pick up
  11. I always enjoy reading up on the other side, this is a good read https://www.pjstar.com/sports/20190409/rivermen-have-full-playoff-plate-were-still-hungry-we-want-this-thing Roanoke veteran captain Steve Mele told The Roanoke Times that it was a slap in the face for Peoria to pick the Dawgs as an opponent for a second consecutive postseason. “No one in this locker room is afraid to play them,” Mele told the Times. “They are in for a rude awakening. ... We designed our system to counteract what they do. It’s a chess match. ... they’ve been beaten before and they’ve had some losing streaks. I think they’ve had a better team in the past.”
  12. Wednesday is 705, not sure about Friday
  13. I'm betting they use him to keep Dion in trouble
  14. Here's our roster http://pointstreaksites.com/view/roanokerailyarddawgs/news-1147/news_516474
  15. You sure he will make the playoff roster?
  16. That's a tall task for a team that's only beaten Peoria twice in 3 years but we will see
  17. Seems it didn't matter where we finished, they were picking us regardless.
  18. And with they way they were playing I'm not going to apologize for it
  19. A minor league football league or Arena football league would never be able to compete with College football. It would be even a bigger failure in the fall, now you're asking fans to commit time to something else when there's already 2 great products on Saturday and Sunday. I just think the whole idea is a joke and a gimmick.
  20. This thing was doomed before it even got started, I've seen better organization in back yard football games. To be honest, Mayor Lea and Mrs. Schon should be embarrassed to have ever gotten involved with this crap. The NGL never had a plan, never marketed, never had an owner and never made an appearance in Roanoke other than that first press conference. This city made it so tough for hockey to come back but when arena football came calling they opened the doors right up with no plans in place and what seems like a lack of vetting.
  21. Well, the AAF just folded and I expect the NGL to follow. They must not even have an advertising budget because I never even saw a pocket schedule. This was poorly put together and no effort was given, I feel sorry for the players who actually thought they would get a chance to play. What a joke https://www.tristatehomepage.com/news/local-news/national-gridiron-league-will-not-play-in-2019/1894856738
  22. I know, right? Theoriginalalex 68 Posted March 16 You are right, no more defending this team from me, I’m seriously concerned now. Once the inevitable sweep from Peoria is out of the way in a month, the off-season topic around here is headed towards “Should Bremner return
