From the rail yard dawgs website Defenseman recorded assist in Nailers 6-5 OT loss to Kalamazoo on Wednesday SOUTHAVEN, MS – The Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs announced on Friday that defenseman Nick Schneider has been returned from the ECHL’s Wheeling Nailers. He is with the team for Friday night’s game against the Mississippi RiverKings. Schneider played in one game for the Nailers, a 6-5 overtime loss to the Kalamazoo Wings on Wednesday. He recorded an assist on the power play in the loss. The Rail Yard Dawgs captain returns to a team for which he has put up five goals and 19 assists over 40 games this season. The Rail Yard Dawgs will put their seven-game winning streak on the line on Friday night in Southaven against the Mississippi RiverKings. Puck drop at Landers Center is scheduled for 7:00 PM CST.

  3. Roster Moves

Interesting how we picked him up http://www.federalhockey.com/news/cornwall-nationals-cease-operations How the FHL is still in business amazes me, I'm extremely glad Roanoke had sense enough to avoid this league like the plague
  4. Roster Moves

http://pointstreaksites.com/view/roanokerailyarddawgs/news-1147/news_500061 The Dawgs have aqcuired forward Chris Porter from Fayetteville and signed forward Maxime Guyon and defenseman Yan Dumontier Guyon might be that tough guy we're looking for
  5. Roster Moves

I trust Bremner, I wonder what he's up to with this?
  6. Absolutely, I'll grab them the next time we swing by my parents in Vinton.
  7. I think I have a few Roanoke Valley Rebels programs from my childhood and even a couple of Rampage programs.
  8. Riley Spraggs Hit

Why would either have dropped the gloves and give Knoxville a chance to gain momentum back? You do understand how fighting in hockey works, right? Maybe Bremner didn't give them the nod to drop them, it's not a matter of lining up and having a go. There's a lot that goes into it
  9. Roanoke should actually be thankful for that 10-0 loss, that seems to be the turning point
  10. Riley Spraggs Hit

Yeah but he'll still drop the gloves, so if it was a dirty hit why didn't anyone from Knoxville go after him? Might be some insight for you as to why the season is heading in the wrong direction for you guys.
  11. I understand but 3 out of the last 4 isn't a fluke or due to injuries etc.
  12. Riley Spraggs Hit

    Spraggs will drop them https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XyMJAynCSQs
  13. Ok? Roanoke still has several players in the ECHL that have yet to be returned, so then what?
  14. So? Roanokes roster is filled with FHL players
  15. Riley Spraggs Hit

If it was such a dirty hit then why didn't anyone from Knoxville go after Spraggs?
  16. Beer league? Hockey is a physical sport, teams are scared to play Roanoke right now including your own. Don't like it, then get tougher or quit going. Knoxville has gotten their butts handed to them both physically and on the scoreboard the last 3 times out vs. Roanoke. So no, the bears didn't beat themselves they're taking a beating.
  17. Greg, do you know if they'll taking the ice up during this stretch? It could really use it, it hasn't had a break since September and it shows.
  18. Hoping that energy carries over into tonight. Right now Roanoke is just physically owing teams, something we never saw under the previous regime. I love this new brand of hockey we're seeing, I just hope the keep it up! Go Dawgs
  19. Roster Moves

Vandergunst would be huge right now, we need an enforcer in a bad way
  20. Roster Moves

I would say possibly Cole, with the playoffs in reach you can't afford not to take Mueller back
  21. Roster Moves

Do you think Bremner has his sights on an enforcer to protect some of these guys?
  22. Roster Moves

Are we expecting anyone back or was this done because there wasn't any room to take him back off ir? Also it looks like the reading goalie got called up again today, think they'll take Barone again?
  23. Can we talk about...

There's only one problem left to solve with this team, we need an enforcer in a big way. Tired of seeing Mele and a few other guys take cheap shots, we need a guy to collect on a few of those bills. I'm glad Jeremy is doing big things in wheeling but we sure could use him.
