Also I wonder how this will muddy the waters for the Rail Yard Dawgs in scheduling moving forward?

  4. Like mentioned above, I will be shocked if there is a single game played in Roanoke.
  5. http://pointstreaksites.com/view/roanokerailyarddawgs/news-1147/news_506759 Great pick up, this team needed a tough guy in a bad way
  6. I'm with you on this one, the league owns the team. They put a team in Roanoke with no minority owners signed on yet and they expect those folks to drum up all the business. The league seems scattered and you have to wonder about travel cost, operating budget etc. I see no way anyone would profit from it. Terrible idea, poorly thought and thrown together to quickly.
  7. Yeah I don't remember the exact the price but I remember it being pretty high, that was a rough estimate of what I remember. The Red Sox and Rail Yard Dawgs do well here because of reasonably priced entertainment, you can't expect people to pay pro level prices for a semi pro product. I'm not totally sure on the health of Arena Football in general even at the highest level.
  8. If I remember correctly they were charging 25-75 bucks to get in the door for a semi pro product, they went bankrupt after their 3rd season.
  9. My kids are in the youth hockey program and we were told there will be a grand opening ceremony the Saturday following Labor Day
  10. http://railyarddawgs.pointstreaksites.com/view/roanokerailyarddawgs/news-1147/news_504351 Pretty happy about the Thanksgiving game coming back
  11. Either 3 would be a good option, I understand about Drobot though. I just got tired of seeing guys take cheap shots and jump our skill guys ( specifically Beer and Mele in the Peoria series at the end of the year ) I also think it would give those guys more confidence knowing they're protected on the ice. Also I think it would help Barone's confidence knowing the bill would come due if anyone touched him.
  12. I would like to see Roanoke go after either Brad Drobot or Dennis Sicard ( If he didn't retire ), Mele and these guys need an iron fist out there to watch their backs.
  13. Armstrong isn't a guy you want to play against in the event he doesn't make an echl roster

  15. Not sure, however I'm certain that the players don't buy their own gear ( Helmets, Sticks, Gloves, Etc. ) I would say some gear is kept for practice and tryouts while other stuff is liquidated to make room and help with the purchase of next years gear.
  16. I don't think this stuff is the players personal equipment, I think this is the stuff provided by the Rail Yard Dawgs organization
  17. Last night during the 2nd intermission on the Dawgs broadcast they had Bob McGinn on and he was talking about attending the SPHL board meetings next month. One of the topics that he mentioned to be discussed was expansion and a few markets were interested in becoming part of the SPHL. Anyone have any insight or guesses as to who may be applying for membership?
  18. If you miss it he always puts up podcasts, you can go back through all of the interviews from this season
  19. Yeah, you can listen live on wfir website or Greg Robert's Facebook where you can actually watch the live stream
  20. Tune into Greg Robert's on 107.3 every Wednesday during the season at 5. He normally has a few Dawgs on with him to talk about what's going on in their world. On a side note, I was in Knoxville this past weekend for the UT spring game and decided to take the kiddos over to the ice bears game. Haven't been in the Coliseum in 6 years and after experiencing that Friday night I'm all the more thankful to the rail yard dawgs organization.
  21. They had both this year, mostly before the season started. Its tough to find time in the week once things get going to host such events.
  22. Just curious, what do you think needs to be more exclusive for season ticket holders?
