  1. Bolts win keeps them at second in the standings for tonight.
  2. The second night of Bolts and Bulls. Normal start time. It's the popular promotion 'Star Wars Night', so expect a large crowd. We had almost 5000 last year on hand to watch Evansville down Peoria. Evansville started a little sluggish last night but picked it up in the second period with two goals. They also gave up a couple bad penalties, but Tomas and the defenders nullified them each time. Pointstreak Scoreboard Pointstreak Gamelive Pointstreak Pregame Notes Listen Live Next game: Evansville remains at home for a rare Tuesday night game at 6:15PM against Huntsville. The game will feature free upgrades to "seats on the glass". Note: Free upgrades to seats on the glass is not an official promotion, but there won't be 700 people at a Tuesday night game, so you really can go sit down there if you want.
  3. Former Bolt Josh Harris scores in the Bulls fourth power play of the period. Trail 4-2 now.
  4. Lots of penalties being called in the third. Most recently Nick Wright leaves on a 5 minute boarding. Net result will be 3 minutes pp for Bulls. EVV still leads 4-1.
  5. Clarke scores another to push the lead to 4-1, and immediately after Petaccio draws a slashing penalty on the Bulls. Power play to close out the second.
  6. Chase isn't done yet. Takes the puck on a breakaway to score shorthanded 3-1.
  7. Bolts have a second goal called off that leads to some tussling by Nick Wright. Felt like we got hosed a bit since the puck went in and shooter got tripped. No worry, Chase comes back shortly after to give Evansville the lead for real 2-1.
  8. Evansville out with more energy and Petaccio evens the score when Millen gets caught behind the goal after being a bit too aggressive.
  9. Bolts really sluggish in the first period tonight with only 4 shots. Bulls take a 1-0 lead converting their first power play chance.

  11. And it's final Bolts win. 4-1. The rematch is in for tomorrow in front of what's probably going to be the biggest home crowd of the season.
  12. The Thunderbolts are coming off a strong weekend where they picked up 5 points against the Rivermen and River Kings. Evansville hangs on to their third place tie in the standings with Macon. The Bulls inaugural season has them on pace to match Evansville's win total from their first season at 14. Birmingham has had some good games lately with a win and OTL against #1 ranked Pensacola. The Bulls are lead by Josh Harris who had success with Evansville last season, getting 14 points in 24 games. While their offense has been at the bottom of the league, they do have a solid penalty kill. Evansville will be welcoming back team captain Cory Melkert from his stint in the ECHL and newcomer Nick Wright. The 6'4 LW could be safely assumed as Pyle's answer to the physical play the Bolts have been hard pressed to answer with the departure of Al Graves. Tyler Vankleef will be missed after his hat trick on Saturday, but the Wichita Thunder wanted to see his skills in person. Nick Davolio currently leads the team in plus/minus at +11. Dylan Clarke leads the team with 31 points on the season. Both guys have been with the team for all 28 this year. Pointstreak Scoreboard Pointstreak Gamelive Pointstreak Pregame Notes Listen Live Next game: These guys square off for the second part of their doubleheader on Saturday on Star Wars Night.
  13. Williams takes it away from the Bulls and splits the defense for a backhand unassisted goal. 4-1.
  14. Oh boy, if Huntsville beats Peoria SinBin will probably move them to number one in their power rankings.
  15. Sean Reynolds takes advantage of a missed tripping call to give the Bolts the 2-1 lead. Clarke adds another to go up 3-1.
  16. Bolts score first with a goal by Dave Williams, but Yeo evens it up 1-1.
  17. So there's this...

I'm not sure where that came from. I've seen it used before too in news stories.
  18. Unlikely. Wright is on Evansville, and you guys are playing Roanoke. Parisi and Drobot could go again though.
  19. So there's this...

This guy's inability to get past team names mars the whole video. The obvious reason that most teams outside of the highest leagues put their names on there is because they don't have universal recognition. It also helps avoid any potential conflicts with existing art. I found it funny that the guy on the left keeps trying to think of what possible name the plane in the Evansville logo is... if someone could just give him a clue, maybe the first letter... or perhaps the entire word emblazoned on a logo.
  20. I did some checking, and it appears he means total points for active rookies. Izmirlian has the lead, but he was just called up. His PPG wouldn't outpace rookies like Caleb Cameron w/1.28. That or "points leads all active players in the league who play on the Rivermen and aren't Hagaman or Pterodactyl".
  21. Tweaked your title, must've had Evansville on your mind.

  23. Yeah, I wish Pointstreak would do some qualifying for stats. Nick Kohn, bless his heart, that guys save percentage is literally 50%. Pyle wouldn't let him in the games when he had a guy with a 5.46 GAA in net, so certainly speaks volumes about what he thought he could do. On the flipside, you've got guys like Dillian Fox playing less games and getting more goals. He's got a 0.6 goals per game average, so even though he's got 3-4 less games he's top two. Don't know if anybody's number is higher than Justin Macdonald with 0.75, but he's been gone for a while now so his 12 goals in 16 games has slipped out of the top. Jake Trask is something else with those goals and assists. Any reason why he's not getting more attention from the ECHL? Looks like his last call was 2014-15.
  24. I'm guessing that isn't the first time you've been described as such. Sadly, most sports have gone this way. On a different point, I'm curious to see what the turnout was like for the "event" in Indy this year. They've got a town that's setup well for that sort of thing, but I've wondered if this isn't more of an exercise for the players.
  25. Nick Wright signed today. The 6'4 LW spent 2 games with Pensacola and a handful in the FHL this season. He had 1 assist and 32 penalty minutes. Apparently Coach Pyle wanting to bulk up a bit.
