  1. 2017-2018 Dmytro Babenko ugly Christmas sweater jersey Will be able to do a better price off ebay to avoid fees.
  2. I've got a couple game worn jerseys from the 2017-2018 season I'm parting with.
  3. From Wikipedia... The Suomi-sarja is Finland's third-highest ice hockey league. Suomi-sarja has 14 teams. Suomi-sarja has been played since the 1999–2000 season. Prior to this, Finland's third league had been Division II since 1975 and before that the Provincial Series since 1947. During the 1990s the series also included an Estonian team. The series was played in two segments in the 2006–2007 season. During the 2007–2008 season there were four divisions. Teams playing in the Suomi-sarja can be relegated to the 2. Divisioona or promoted to Mestis. So reading this, it seems like it's a league on the national level (ala World Cup for soccer). That being said, I'm not sure if this would count toward pro status.
  4. Hey everyone! I’m looking for a regular season Dan Bremner jersey from the Rivermen. Anyone who can help?
  5. Maybe i'm missing it...but I don't see it on the transaction page...and Norfolk's page still shows him on their roster?
  6. I vaguely remember the kid with the flag...I was barely out of high school myself. I actually worked for the Express doing game day stuff for 3 seasons...2 doing merchandise, 1 as the Jumping Jack Patrol (go ahead, roll the eyes lol). I think we just need SOMETHING to try and get more crowd interaction. I think it's great to hear the people over in section 9/10 with the cheap plastic horns. Again...missed revenue opportunity. Those could be purchased cheap with the RYD logo screen printed on it...sold for $5-$10 bucks...and they'd sell out. Ice Girls idea....great concept...horrible execution. I like the idea of dancers or cheerleaders. As far as the play goes...yeah, I think everyone would agree it could be better...but at the same time, i'm not willing to just say "I'm not gonna renew season tickets" either. The only way that we're gonna keep a team here is through the good and the bad. Look at other teams in other sports. Sure they suck for years and years, but the fans keep supporting them. That's what keeps the teams there. Hopefully the fans in Roanoke will stop the comparison of the Dawgs to the Express, and give them a chance to get fully established before writing them off.
  7. I'm not impressed with the ice girls whatsoever. I think they are a waste of time. They only walk around. Diesel isn't bad...but I think he needs more energy. The purpose of the mascot is to get the crowd going. Way too many times when play is down that you'll find the civic center quiet. He should be trying to get the crowd to clap...cheer...stomp...anything. For that matter, same for the ice girls. If you wanna call them programs. When I think of programs, I think of what you find at major sporting events...pages upon pages of advertisements...articles...player profiles. I know this is a new team, and the team was just put together a couple weeks before the puck dropped for the season opener, but there could've been all sorts of stories on the history of hockey in Roanoke...what the McGinn family did to bring hockey here...anything like that. Definitely more positives than negatives this year. I think it's good that they're reaching out to season ticket holders to find out what they can improve on. Honest feedback is the only way the quality of the "experience" will improve.
  8. Got a survey in my email the other day. This is what I suggested as improvements.: Less concourse vendors...makes it difficult to walk around, especially during intermission Better crowd control near Diesel...all the kids jumping around without a "handler" close by makes it dangerous for the kids and the performer Better advertisement of promotions...put out a promotion schedule at the beginning of the year Program...all sorts of lost revenue in advertising Different parking arrangement for parking pass holders...we all share the same lot, just depends on the gate to get in. We paid for a pass, make it worth it for us.
