  1. Funny stuff. The inFATuation is killing me. Got to hand it to a guy who still rants and raves about how good a coach was is and is going to be as that coach just did the Fallsburu Flop and got thrown out the door.
  2. Players arguing with THE COACH on the bench. NOT GOOD in any sport. All of the hoopla that led up to THE COACHES debut was just that NOICE. A guy who forced his was in the back door turned out to be way over his head. In the FHL he had a winning record with teams who were moneymakers. When he went to an organization that was shy a dime here and there he just about made playoffs. I tried explaining that enough times. Now the proof is in the pudding. Back to moms basement for the “other” Phil Esposito.
  3. This was coming since day one in Cornwall. One owner lived in moms basement. Two other owners had one foot on a banana peel and other foot on grease lightning. Bottom line Cornwall couldn’t make it in the LNAH and Now the imiginary hockey league.
  4. Pretty good observation I’d say. Right out of “Phil’s” old backyard.
  5. Pie hole, take the week off from this Wednesday until the next. Tell your boss you are getting on the Marksmans bus and taking the reins. Drive, get behind the bench, and motivate the team like you know you can. Birmingham played Peoria well recently. Drum that into the Marksmans head. Report for duty Piehole. Save the day!
  6. Trying to get my Twitter character figure on point. But I think everyone followed the logic. Anyone need any clarity on a specific sentence. I’d be glad to oblige. Basically boxscore meets the last 20 games or so meets FHL background meets the future. Teachers in the old schooldays handed me A’s not F’s. Pardon the PUN.
  7. Who’s job is it to bring in players if things are obvious to a Duck not clicking from a week after ‘“ Phil’ got to see what he had. Remembering he was hired but waited a week to show. The GM who hired him based off of knowing him when he called Reading all the time put in a good word towards his hiring. Now the GM has been gone for a while. Safe to say all Hockey pos decisions fall on “Phil”. Well you mentioned at jump street “Phil “ would be making allot of changes and the team would catapult up the standings. The first two guys he’d get rid of were Harris and Shiavo because of his talent assessment after coaching in the league they played in last season. Well Shiavo did pretty good in Fayetteville and Now is sticking pretty well on a Coast roster. Harris from what we hear and see plays his heart out most of the time and it’s still here. There has been zero effort to improve the roster or change the losing atmosphere. I ask whose fault is it? The medical trainer, the equipment guy, the zamboni Driver. Who? The best player had 10 shots on net tonight. The team had 7 PP’s. There goalie gave up 3 . Hey I’d rather a shutout. “Phil” has had more than ample time to show alittle improvement. Zero is obvious. Roanoke winning tonight and Birmingham tied with Peoria. Then off to Peoria next week and worse after that. “Phil” had almost his first 20 games against Roanoke and Birmingham. Grade is a F. Now he’s going to coach against the big boys. Whose hiring a coach with this track record? Just my thoughts/take. Speak of the TRUTH
  8. Then do like any coach would do. Use your connections. This thing they call the internet has hockey db or eliteprospects to look at and find players who are out there you know. Like anyone with a job they like reach into your bag of tactics to succeed. It’s like Nero playing with the place burning down.
  9. Agreed. The team doesn’t seem to have Fed off the coaches motivation or vibes beginning last night. Maybe bring in some new blood. Maybe do what should have been done from the get go. Bring in players who are somewhat proven or project on where they’ve played coming up to being able to skate in the Sp
  10. Nice effort tonight or is Roanoke just a better team. Nevermind better prepared and bench decisions just a hair better than the Marksmen. No sour grapes just an opinion of what is seen. The minuses accumulated by the so called minute getters were outrageous tonight. Serious problem when the other team is in the box for four or more straight calls to finish the game. Who is in charge of the PP. No pun intended moderator man
  11. I do agree. I post what I see. I don’t post as a cheerleader or out of infatuation. Dennis Sicard would make a real good coach when he is done. His knowledge of the league, leadership skills, and his interaction with the community. Another hockey educated statement that I hope does not get scud missled by moronic blind love
  12. Your hockey knowledge just mesmerizes me. Phil, Phil, Phil.
  13. Sensitivity about your Boy is really a disadvantage. Then when you go back and forth with other posters whether the team choked. Started slow etc. if the team lost by 20 goals you’d blame it on the lighting in the arena or the ice was slanted. But for sure, your boy will have the team winning the cup this season. Enjoy while you can. But talk sense not nonsense. Still very close to the basement. Like the one you probably are stuck in.
  14. Used to ride the bus with Eli back around ‘72-74. He was just starting out. Used to call him the flea. Great guy. Miss those days. Costas did what Eli did for us in Syracuse. Never know who your with growing up.
