  1. From what I have been told, no one is folding. So that throws out the Evansville idea. I theorized on Twitter that the SPHL could be making a move to smaller markets, which would be an interesting move to say the least. This league has been for years trying to go bigger and bolder, and to turn on a dime towards Danville is just off.
  2. Yes and no. The SP is willing to take new teams, and with Danville being a nice travel partner for Peoria, QC, and EVV, that was a big bonus, however the arena holds just 2,350 for hockey. There is something more to this.
  3. Just some thought's I have regarding everything 1. Is the SPHL going towards smaller markets, because this just feels.. odd 2. I have not been a fan of some quotes from the new owner, as from the Vermilion County First, the new owner said "“I will not have players who think they’re going to come here and spend eight years, and have an entire career". Does she not understand you are going to need some fan favorites that stick around? 4. lol calm down. Stop getting your panties in a twist over my little jabs at you. BTW, was this another guess?
  5. lol ok I guess the Bulls lied in their email to STHs. and heres QC confirming the news: https://www.quadcitystorm.com/news/2020/10/6/storm-will-sit-out-2020-2021-season
  6. Hate to say I told you so, buttttttt here we are again.
  7. QC, Peoria, and Fayetteville. Illinois and NC have some of the strictest regulations and teams from those states are out based on the 2k people must be allowed in thingy I have reported on. Also, I would not be surprised if a Fed team is brought in, will it happen? Who knows.
  8. So, in my ever great wisdom, I was thinking about the future of the league, and basically how right now, 3 out of 10 teams are out for the time being, and one of the them is hinging on an election. What happens if the election goes the other way, and both of your Illinois teams are out for at least the season. Do you add some temporary teams? Do you try to bring in Columbus from the Fed, or do you just call off the season. So much is depending on so little. its strange to see. At this point I think we could get a 4 team season.
  9. Got my ticket as soon as they where available. So nice to get back in the VBC after 7 months.
  10. I have made this statement before, so what I am about to say isn't really shocking. I 100% believe the FHl and the SPHL are on a collision course. Think the WHA and NHL days of the 70s. Someone has to die for someone to live. My belief is within the next five years, both leagues will have some kind of merge. Will it be like the WHA-NHL merge where a select number of teams come in, or will it be a complete merge, I have no idea. I know some people on this forum highly dislike the Fed, and have good reasons, but I would start preparing to root for some of those people b
  11. Downloaded it. My thoughts about it are basically its an app version of the website. Loading icon looks like someone ripped the SPHL logo from Google images, but otherwise, does the job as said. 8/10.
