Recommended Posts

Coach suspended 1 game for throwing water bottles, Seags suspended 2 games for plowing into Rank after clearly being pushed from behind

Yes Segal was pushed from behind & a crosscheck was called on the play. But he could have avoided plowing into Rank and deliberately creamed him. He might not have been able to avoid all contact with the goalie but it looks like he took advantage of being pushed.

These suspensions were probably just given to appease the whiny little bi*^ches in Peoria.  All the Riverwomen ever do is piss and moan about the officiating.  It's all their good at up there.  They came to the Crown, got slapped around, beat not one but twice and whined about the officiating.

It was probably a complete misunderstanding because Craigen thought the referee needed a drink of water and didn't want the ref to have to skate over to the bench and this is the thanks that Mike gets from the SPHL for being a nice guy.

Is Craigen's suspension solely his punishment or is it supposed to be punishment for the team and organization also?

Craigen threw the water bottle because the Rivermen timekeeper stopped the clock with 6 seconds left and the Rivermen on the attack. He said the timekeeper is being investigated by the SPHL too.

The Rivermen are the most penalized team in the league, although the Antz are pursuing. Griping about the refs won't really fix their PIMs.

i totally agree with you.  As for the Antz being a close second, yeah, I can't disagree.  If you're the most penalized but winning lots of games, I'm all for racking up the PIM's.  But whining about the officiating will only make your team labeled as a problem child team who will be whistled quite a bit.
