Metcalfe is OK

Recommended Posts

The following was made public late last night:

Spencer Metcalfe is OK. He is undergoing some final precautionary evaluation at the hospital and will be released to go home shortly.
He has no structural or neurological damage, but was knocked unconscious on the ice and our medical staff will treat him with standard concussion protocol.

Very good news.  Hate to see anyone injured, especially knocked unconscious.  How did it happen?  Was it a clean check or what?  Glad hockey players are tough.  Hope he makes a full and fast recovery!!

Friendly fire is the worst.  The teammate has to feel awful.  Everytime i think of friendly fire incidents this one always comes to mind.  Has nothing to do with metcalfe but this always comes back to me from a teammate hitting tomas vokoun. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://m.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3D7sEagjNAh-U&ved=0ahUKEwi_msmQq_LSAhVHNxQKHQk9CMUQwqsBCB8wAQ&usg=AFQjCNEanz4ZU7tBtYiqx5cNuGmH385XPA&sig2=ep-yMhb5QxJeksPRT6u0QQ
