Have they officially introduced the new ownership to the public yet?

Yes they have......they did the last week of the regular season.

Does anyone have any ideas on what this is about?

Says they're going to talk about plans for next season. Considering how they're selling off their merchandise, I can only assume a rebranding of their logo/name and possibly changes in staff?

I would hope not a name change. I think it would be senseless to reinvent the wheel after so many people have grown accustomed to the FireAntz name.

If you'd asked me 10 years ago if the Ice Bears were to change their name back to Cherokees or Knights, I might have accepted it. Now, not so much. Although the Cherokees did have the best memories for me. But for so many others, the Ice Bears is their fondest memories.

Logos can go through changes over time (unless you're Montreal). Changing a nickname is not so easy. Try to change the Maple Leafs or Rangers or Flyers...

"Rebranding" could be as simple as a team color change and/or a logo change.  But as the proud owner of a few dozen hockey jerseys bought on discount in the summer proceeding such changes, I can tell you that the first sign was widespread inventory reduction at the team store.

Lots of changes in staff already visible. Kevin MacNaught no longer with the front office. Sam Fryman no longer the sportscaster.

Some serious resumes of the folks listed. Mark Roessler has been there for a while. He's an asset they kept.

Game worn? Think about @fred before responding.

I always think about @fred when I smell game-worn jerseys.

Very, very impressed with the new owners and leadership.  They seem to "get it" and I think they will do a great job of getting butts in seats and creating excitement in Fayetteville.

Great job with the press conference.
