Per the nearly one month old PJ Star article on this topic ... summer has a tendency to interrupt my of my hockey trains of thought ...

Some schedule points:

• The Rivermen play 13 Friday games, 11 Saturday games and 4 Sunday games at home.

• The team plays 12 of its 28 home games in the first half of the season.

• There is a 13-game season series against Evansville.

• Longest road trip of the season is a five-game, nine-day trip to Huntsville, Birmingham and Macon in early February.

• The Rivermen play at home on the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving. They play at Evansville on New Year’s Eve and at Pensacola on St. Patrick’s Day.

• Five of the final seven games of the regular season are at home. ...

Another interesting point.  Play roanoke 5 games and 4 out of 5 are the last 4 games of the season.

It would be an honor to have my post up on the RYD locker room board.  I can even provide a photo so they can shoot pucks at it.  Anything to make them more competitive this season.  ^_^

If y'all need any pointers, we routinely have 50-90 dogs compete at each of our 2 annual events - and sell out every year.

I'd be surprised if the first year of the wiener dog race event @ PCC is any better organized than what me 'n' Mrs. JMC witnessed last season at the inaugural race in Evansville.  Dogs will be dogs ...

Heat #1

Heat #2

Still, it was more entertaining than watching selected fans run around the ice & putting on hockey equipment to win a prize pack.
