McGinn boys hold youth hockey camp in Roanoke

Jamie, Tye, and Brock McGinn, the majority owners of the Rail Yard Dawgs, held their second annual youth hockey camp in Roanoke this week with over 120 youngsters participating.

All 3 are on NHL contracts - Jamie with Arizona, Brock with Carolina, and Tye with Tampa Bay.

It was amazing to watch them interact with the youth players - very humble young men.  For the 120 kids that participated, it had to be the experience of a lifetime to get to skate with, and receive instruction from 3 NHL players.

Roanoke is fortunate to have these guys.

It really is great to see these three young men doing so much within our community. These camps are such a great experience for the youth here in the valley and the McGinn boys are setting a great example for them and the young men who play for the Dawgs.

You can watch the live stream of the show here. The McGinns are in the second hour I believe.

The NBC affiliate also did a nice story on the hockey camp.

Good stuff.

Nice to see they are getting some publicity from different medias.  Great for the organization and great for the McGinns to have the hockey camp for the young ones.  Couldn't be more happier with the majority owners.  Looks like they are doing all the right things.

Absolutely agree.  Even the local FOX station did a story on the hockey camp. Things like this and the Parents weekend they did during the season should help to really grow Roanoke's hockey reputation.
