“We are definitely open to a ‘Weekend Warrior’ contract for Jaromir,” said ( Everblades Public Relations Manager & Broadcaster Alex) Reed.  “He could make the easy 90-minute drive across Alligator Alley and just play in our Friday and Saturday home games.  Heck, we will even send an intern to personally pick him up and drive him over if necessary.”

Nothing more than a marginally creatiive attempt by the Everblades' front office to boost season ticket sales in mid-summer.  Just slightly less sensational than the time when the Bakersfield Condors offered Justin Bieber a contract.  This, too, shall pass - but not score.

I think he'd be good for the Preds on their 3rd line. If Fisher retires it'd open a spot for him. I get he's getting up there in years, but he's still better than half the talent half his age, and Nashville really needs someone to step up on scoring.
