I think Gusafafsson is a big loss. Hopefully won't hurt us too much the rest of the year.

Have no clue.  That leaves us with 16.  1 less on the roster that we are allowed.  Nobody will be sitting out now.  If we have another injury we will be playing short unless we make a quick move.  Not sure why we just didn't sign Greiner, unless it was planned or coach has other plans.  I didn't think he player bad.

I saw where Walsh was released by Mississippi today, maybe a possibility?

I wouldn't think so.  Walsh was pretty physical, but pretty slow which Bremner doesn't look for in his players.  My biggest guess would be getting Armstrong or Goz back from the ECHL since both teams are out of playoff contention.  But who knows, anything can happen.

Harrison : http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=78095

Roanoke Harrison, Patrick (D) signed contract

He won't be playoff eligible, so my guess is he will just be filling a space allowing one of our other defensemen to rest and heal a little before the playoffs.

I also noticed Goz was put on team suspension by Norfolk today maybe he will return for playoffs.

Yes he will be playoff eligible......between 3 SPHL teams he has played 30 games this season.

I thought they had to play 5 games with your team to be eligible.

Correct, no, and yes. Regarding the last statement- 5 games in the current SPHL season regardless of how many teams a player was with (as long as he wasn't called up to another league after the deadline)

Goz was still listed on their roster and I didn't see anything on the transactions today for the echl, where are you seeing this?

We are slowly becoming the new Cornwall Nationals of the SPHL.  If they were still around i'd say we were their parent team.  Now have 5 players Patrick Harrison, Cam Bakker, Maxime Guyon, Eric Witzel, and Yan Dumontier who were teammates on the Cornwall Nationals.

All I know is that Witzel and Guyon better be back next year. Bakker looks pretty strong as well.

I think we'll actually have a pretty kickass team next year if Bremner is allowed to build the way he wants and doesn't have to deal with Ftorek's scraps and bad lineup decisions.

Regarding the college kids who have recently signed after completing their college/university careers: see my post in the "SPHL League" thread "ATO v PTO". These kids are eligible to be on playoff rosters without having played 5 SPHL games if they're good enough. Doc
