Boys left on the bus at midnight...14 skaters and two goalies...maybe Bremner has some guys in mind up that way that he knows so we can skate with a full 16 this weekend? I do believe most teams are feeling the call up blues right now. It does not help that Tatrn has not been skating either.

Is Tatrn still suffering from concussion related symptoms?

So Bremners first two signings are Beer Love. I am definitely starting to like this guy!

We keep it up Fred might have to move to Roanoke.  Always $2 beers before puck drops.  Last two players are Love Beer

And their numbers are right next to each other too- Love is #16 and Beer is #17- how cute (coincidence?)

Was feeling there may be more action than just Bronner coming back, today. The week is young, though.

He might have just used last week to see what he had.  Then he called his guys out and should be full strength now and going to see how they react this week after a full week of practice before making drastic moves.  lmao I dont know, but sounds like your waiting for that Peoria Purge to happen:2thumbsup:

Hell, I am just waiting to see all the moves. I know they are coming.

Im right there with you. The only problem I see with that is that the only place you can sign them from this far into the season is the FHL.  Unless he has a few hid away somewhere.  But im sure things are going to get interesting.  If we can somehow beat Fayetteville two games in a row we could move comfortably ahead of them for 8th place by 1 point with 3 less games played.  It should be an exciting home/home series.  If the two teams dont play hard and compete in this series something is really wrong.

Wonder if he's from the future and an expert in this game:

Parrises squares

Parrises squares was a vigorous athletic game that was popular in the 23rd and 24th centuries.

An alternative spelling to the game's name is Parisi Squares. (TNG video game: Echoes From the Past)

Rigel VII had a notable mens Parrises squares team in the the 24th century. (DS9 comic: "Four Funerals and a Wedding")

When playing Parrises squares, players often wore unique padded uniforms and used a piece of equipment called an ion mallet. The game also involved a ramp, and if players weren't careful, they could easily fall off and injure themselves. (TNG episode: "Future Imperfect")

College boy picked up 2 penalties in his first 12+ minutes of his SPHL career:

Roanoke - Anthony Parisi - (High Sticking), 2 MIN, 4:36
Knoxville - Gehrett Sargis - (Delay of Game), 2 MIN, 9:48
Roanoke - Anthony Parisi - (Boarding), 2 MIN, 12:16

Seems to be a pattern- averaging about  2 2-minute penalties per game throughout his playing days:

Perhaps he was trying too hard to make an impression, but that first penalty that he took tonight was a killer.

Knoxville scored on the Power Play Goal and the Dawgs never seem to recover.

I thought Tellstrom showed potential. I wish he got more of a look. Glad to see that Spraggs is not playing as much as he did under Ftorek though. I really like the Gandara, Mele, Beer line from last week but noticed they were not playing together last night.
