Looks like Matt O Connor just doesn't like playing in the ECHL, his AHL stats aren't that bad but ECHL stats and record are horrible.

I agree and if you look his one game in the NHL is higher then any gaa and save percentage his whole career.  Either he has lost some skills since his earlier years or interest in the game or they just need to send him straight back to the NHL :2thumbsup:

Someone like Norfolk?

They already have our goalie from last year Ty Reichenbach who is 8-8 for them with a 3.25.  His stats are better then the other 2 goalies by far.  Im sure they would eat him up off waivers.  They have the same problem as both our teams have though.  Bad defense and get crushed in shots most games.  3/4 of the team is SPHL former players.  They currently have 4 of our players just from Roanoke's signed players this year.

They have Max Cook (RW) as well. He is on IR last I saw.

Crazy thing is around the time Nashville killed the affiliation with Norfolk and reassigned a few of there players to other teams in the ECHL.  They then started raiding the SPHL.  They have improved drastically, while currently Norfolk set a new ECHL Admirals team record since coming into the league of 7 straight games earning points.  Going 5-0-2 over there last 7 games. They  are inching closer to a playoff spot, after a horrible start.  Only negative is the attendance is still not good in the low 2,000.

This could prove a point. The AHL is no longer pulling players from Norfolk and the team is building chemistry without interference which is a problem in our league with all the call-ups. The SPHL doesn't have reserve players like the ECHL.

Proving a point and acting on it will be two separate challenges for the NHL-dominated world of North American pro hockey.

It is what it is! The only solution to this issue would be the SPHL allowing a larger roster for reserves but, then we a put team owners into a financial spot who joined the league for the reason of lower operating cost.

I didn't see it on transactions.....only thing I saw on Besse was that he was selected for the ECHL all-star game

It didnt happen today. I was just showing that they are still on the merry go round like every other team. Besse just got back from Tucson before last game and Melancon right before that.  Frazee has been up and down to.
