Hauswirth As Good As Ever

Recommended Posts

Jake Hauswirth has spent nearly a third of his life in ice hockey’s minors. He turns 30 next month and is one of the oldest players in the Southern Professional Hockey League.

He’s also still one of the best.

Even on a team that is desperate for wins — the Fayetteville Marksmen had a 6-15-3 entering Friday night’s road game against Birmingham — Hauswirth continues to excel. The team captain leads the SPHL in scoring, and he’s one point away from matching his assist total from 2016-17 in about 20 fewer games.

As a Dawgs fan, I really enjoy watching him play when they are in Roanoke. Plays the game the right way.
