GDT 1/27 7:15PM - Peoria Rivermen @ Thunderbolts

Recommended Posts

After losing in Peoria last night the Bolts will be out for vengeance. The scrappy affair led to Nick Wright's ejection and subsequent suspension, so he'll be out tonight.

If Evansville loses tonight the teams will move into a tie for second place (Peoria undoubtedly holds the tiebreaker).

But the dogs are out in full force. I've been to hockey games here with less people than there are dogs in the crowd. Seems like they found a good promotion here.

And it looks like the guys haven't lost their edge from last night. Physical play and a fair amount of looks for both teams, but no goals for anybody at the end of one.

Bolts have figured out how to shoot but Parks is having none of it.

But they lost it early in the 2nd.  They need to find it during this intermission, or this game could get ugly.

Scorcia and Clarkr score on two consecutive power plays to bring Bolts within two. If Rivermen will keep getting penalties we might have a game.

Second period was tough. Felt like they were killing penalties half the time with their inability to clear the puck. It wasn't until the last few minutes that they even got some offensive momentum.

Whats up with this?  I thought the league took care of Peoria?  Now Evansville's arena in the head office?

There are several heads inside Ford Center, marked "Women" and "Men."   Never one close enough for my wife, though.  :o

That Pointstreak notation might indicate that the final score sheet from tonight's game had been sent to the SPHL offices for verification.  This is the sort of thing that happens when we rely too heavily on computers.   computerpunch.gif
