GDT 2/16 7:15PM - Knoxville Ice Bears @ Thunderbolts

Recommended Posts

The Thunderbolts return to the Ford Center with a painful 8 game losing streak. The team made some roster moves this week trading Lee Christensen to Pensacola in exchange for Shayne Morrissey and Patrick Harrison. Sean Reynolds was placed on IR. Goalie Matt Leon was released and replaced by the well traveled Ryan de Melo.

Evansville will be playing 3 games against 3 different opponents this weekend. Only Friday night is at home.

Knoxville is lead by Player of the Week Berkley Scott who has 40 points in 37 games. The Ice Bears boast the league's best penalty kill, so Evansville's strong success on the power play will be tested.

For the Bolts, John Scorcia is currently in 3rd place league-wide in total points with 42 (15g, 27a). Dylan Clarke is in a three-way tie for second place in goals scored with 20. Goalie Tomas Sholl is still tied for most wins at 14 with Knoxville's Hetenyi, so if Evansville doesn't get the win that mark will probably fall. Tomas got called up to ECHL Adirondack back on Jan 24th, and has continued his winning ways going 3-0 for them.

Bolts take the lead early on an unassisted goal by Dave Williams. Been a long time since there was a lead for the good guys around here.
