Transactions

Recommended Posts

According to the ECHL site, Tommy Kelley has not played since 1/20.

Anyone know what is going on with him?

Also, Charlie Granath (D) - activated from IR

Is Flegel back? Or just, released by Brampton.

He hasn’t come back on our transactions so until then he is just released in my opinion

It looks like Worcester got a number of their call ups back from Bridgeport Sound.  They appear to have deactivated Kelley but not released him.

Same thing is happening in Norfolk with a couple of our players, Mueller hasn't suited up in over 2 weeks and Vandergunst has only played twice in 6 or 7 games, they aren't injured just healthy scratches.

I check the transactions almost daily this year. Seems like everyday, someone is moving to the ECHL. What has happened to cause all the movement? is the SPHL the only league for the ECHL this year? I guess that's a good thing for the guys.

Doesn't look like he got much ice time (out of 8 games). Though he won the only game when he played all 60 minutes.

Yes, just look at this and I believe the number for this year is already in the hundreds.

Is it just me, or does there seem to be more movement between the SPHL and ECHL than ever?

Current 2017/18 totals as of the Chen transaction-  116 total call-ups (91 different players- some called up more than once) with 64 currently on loan.  The SP has achieved its goal of becoming a developmental league.  PEN is currently hit the hardest with 11 on loan while ROA is the lowest with 3 currently on loan.

Speaking of ECHL call-ups here is a trivia question for you.  If you get it right without looking it up you go straight to the ranks of big time minor league hockey fan.

Out of the 27 teams in the ECHL, 26 of them have called up at least one SPHL player to their roster this season. Name the one team that has not went the call-up route as of 2/20/2018.

I'll post the answer tomorrow on the slight chance anyone cares!
