GDT 4/15 3:30PM - Thunderbolts @ Macon Mayhem - Playoffs Game 3

Recommended Posts

Evansville had a game to forget losing 1-6 to Macon in their first attempt to close out the series. The deciding game is about to start with Ryan de Melo again getting the opportunity to close out the series he opened with a win.

The Thunderbolts will need to capitalize on the power play. The had five more chances last night, but again only converted on a single goal. Clearly, the defense will need to limit the Mayhem shots. Evansville held Macon to only 4 shots in the first period, and it looked like a repeat of Thursday night was in order. However, the dam broke in the second and third with Macon netting 6 goals on 25 shots (without any man advantages).

Game start time delayed because the ice is nervous.

Finally got everything worked out, everybody warmed back up, and they're about to start (for real this time).

Bolts off to a rough start again. Melo chased after allowing 2 goals on the first 6 shots, but Syles has surrendered 2 more. No goals for Evansville.

Edit: Team indicates 3rd goal was on Melo not Syles as the scorecard said.

Macon scores again. Evansville may be digging the hole a little too deep for this comeback.

8-0. Not sure if they're giving it their all at this point.
