Recommended Posts

Fayetteville, NC - Charlie Hildbold has been hired as the President and COO of the Fayetteville Marksmen, the team announced Tuesday evening.

“We’re excited to welcome Charlie to the Marksmen, his experience in leading a front office makes him a great fit for this team,” Team Owner, Chuck Norris, said. “I’m confident in Charlie’s ability to lead the day-to-day operations and ability to grow hockey in Fayetteville.”

6 jobs in 13 years- think he'll stay longer than 2-3 years in Fayetteville, NC? He at least  does have some success under his belt.

starting in 2005 as a member of the outbound ticket sales department for the Pittsburgh Pirates of Major League Baseball. Soon after, Hildbold joined the Pensacola Ice Pilots of the ECHL before joining the Columbus Catfish of the South Atlantic League, the Single A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays.

At the conclusion of his tenure with the Catfish, Hildbold joined the indoor football ranks, with the Odessa Roughnecks of the Lone Star Football league. After winning a championship with the Roughnecks, Hildbold moved to Richmond, Virginia to help launch the Richmond Revolution franchise in the Indoor Football League.

Following a successful season in which the Revolution won the Franchise of the Year award, Hildbold moved back to the Texas area, where he had served as the President of the Texas Revolution, an indoor football team playing in the Champions Indoor Football league. After the 2016 campaign, Hildbold was named Executive of the year in the CIF.

Unfortunately, if he does a good job for Fayetteville he will probably get offers after year 2 to go onto bigger and better.  That's the way of minor league sports.

Well even if we only get 2 years out of him hopefully he can add on to what we missed in season one and help build a better organization. Good things
