...  But now the biggest concern for the team will be the economic impact due to Hurricane Florence.  Unfortunately, the attendance levels probably go back to the 2016/17 levels caused in part by Hurricane Matthew.

Maybe when QC comes to town the Storm will bring in an increased number of fans.

So the two previous goalies signed are going to ECHL camps first? Goaltending was an issue last year. Just hope there isn't a repeat this year.

Lots of SPHL players will be in an ECHL camp.  Training camp will start for them sometime like last year, when it started September 29th and opening day rosters needed to be turned in by October 11th.  So plenty of time after their camp to know if you need to scramble to fill roster spots.  Each league starts its camp earlier or later for the trickle down effect.

Say it ain't so, Jake.

Ugh! link

Looks like its true.  That would suck.  He was the only constant for you guys last year.  You knew he was going to score his points.  Be the same for us if Steve Mele started taking call ups. http://komets.com/mobile/news/?article_id=605

Currently the Komets have 10 players attending AHL training camps.  Thomas Ebbing (F), Garret Ross (F), Garrett Ladd (F), Joseph Widmar (F), Jeff King (D), Cody Sol (D), Jason Binkley (D), Kyle Hayton (G) and Lukas Hafner (G) and are in the Chicago Wolves camp.  Marco Roy (F) is at Laval's camp.

There are 30 players on the preseason roster including 17 forwards, 10 defensemen and three goaltenders.  More information on the 2018-19 team will be available at the press luncheon on Monday.

Well, this explains why sooooo many guys are being called for training camps....usually happens every year.

We should see the trinkling effect with the next 2 weeks.

Yea, its always like that.  I don't think there is any limit to how many they can bring in to a training camp.  Thats why I don't put much stock into preseason camps.  Teams have half their players in higher league's camps.  But my only thing is if Hauswirth really was looking to advance leagues, I find it difficult to believe nobody in the ECHL would want him.
