Former Ice Flyers goalie helps snag pair of monster sharks off Pensacola Beach

He was used to stopping shots on a hockey rink, but former Pensacola Ice Flyers goaltender John McLean and his charter fishing partner snagged something entirely different on Sunday at Pensacola Beach.

McLean, of Big John's Shark Fishing Adventures and David Miller of Angler Up reeled in a pair of massive sharks – a 12-foot Hammerhead and an 11-foot Tiger shark while fishing off the beach with some charter clients.

Both sharks were healthy catch and releases, with the Tiger shark caught on a Avet Reel with a Spartan Tackle leader.
