ESPN Radio returns to Pensacola on new station, with new owners

By Bill Vilona - News Journal

After a yearlong absence, ESPN Radio programming has returned to Pensacola.

The new home is 94.5 FM and operates out of the ADX Communcations building on Plantation Road near University Mall, which is home to Cat Country (98.7 FM) and NewsRadio 1620 AM.

The sports station adds to Pensacola's array of sports programming options as the football season begins.

WPNN on 103.7-FM and 790-AM is led by local sports broadcaster Paul Chestnutt and its daily show "Sports Roundtable" from 11 a.m. to noon each day. The station is the home for Alabama Crimson Tide football as well as the New Orleans Saints.

Locally, the network broadcasts a weekly high school football game of the week and broadcasts the Pensacola Ice Flyers home games with Chestnutt as the play-by-play announcer.
