Macon's Jake Trask named Warrior Player of the Week

HUNTERSVILLE, NC (November 6, 2018) - The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) today announced Jake Trask of the Macon Mayhem is the Warrior Player of the Week for October 29-November 4.

Trask scored three goals, including one game-winner, added an assist and was +3 as the Mayhem swept a pair of games from Fayetteville last weekend.

On Friday, the Saskatoon, SK native scored once with the man advantage and assisted on the eventual game-winner in the second period as Macon doubled-up the Marksmen 4-2. The following night, Trask scored a pair of goals  in leading Macon to a 4-1 win.

Now in his fourth season with the Mayhem, Trask currently tops the SPHL in goals (six) and power play goals (three-tied), while his league-best four game-winners are one short of his total for the entire 2017-2018 season. Trask has also scored a goal in each of Macon’s last five games, recording three consecutive multi-point outings, in leading the Mayhem to a 5-0-1 record to begin the season.

Also Nominated: Mavric Parks, Birmingham (1-0-0, 1 ga, 41 saves), Ed Minney, Evansville (1-1-0, 1.39 gaa, .962 save%, shutout), Shane Bennett, Fayetteville (2 gp 2g), Connor Schmidt, Huntsville (1 gp, 2g, gwg), Hayden Stewart, Knoxville (1-1-0, 2.54 gaa, .917 save%), Brett D’Andrea, Pensacola (1 gp, 1g, +1), Ralfs Grinbergs, Peoria (3 gp, 3a, +3), Vincent Caligiuri, Quad City (2 gp, 1g, 2a) and Maxime Guyon, Roanoke (1 gp, 2g)
