Marksmen Staff Turnover *Thread Title Change*

No official word on new ownership but removal of them on the staff page (on the first day of a month) means something for sure has changed. But according to the long list of staff turnover since rebranding,  "change" is nothing new.

If you want to talk "rumor", keep an eye on the hockey operations page.

For the sake of all Fayetteville fans, I certainly hope Chuck Norris has sold your team to someone else, because as a quality owner, it sounds like he has been missing in action.

I am sure that some Marksmen fans will be delighted in this turn of events, while others will be saddened.

I really don’t care as long as there is hockey.  Not there to get to know the owner or schmooze.  Just there for the hockey.

What did I say????? Happy for Jesse to get a better opportunity in Florida (or elsewhere).

I'm not sure becoming an ECHL assistant coach is really a positive move.  Clearly, he believes it is; or there is more to the opportunity.  I just can't see that being a surefire positive move.  He was really doing a fine job for you all, though.  I hate that you have to start testing unproven coaches again (though discovering Kallechy's talent was a good find).

Once all the details come out, it'll be obvious why he made the move to the ECHL. It was a no brainer.

So, I'll assume that means there's more to it than a simple ECHL assistant coach position (or location is really important to it).  Or, the SPHL is ceasing to play hockey?  Do you have a giant scoop?

So who owns the Marksmen team now?

According to the article in today's  Fayetteville Observer, Chuck Norris still appears to be theowner  based on quotes from him regarding. Kallechy and Melkert.

Maybe they can find time to correct their website then. Like adding Cory Melkert as head coach and deleting Jesse Kallechy. After all, the press conference and announcement were yesterday at noon and the newspaper article was today. Maybe they are busy doing other things. 😉
