D’Andrea Signs with Ice Flyers for Third Season

Pensacola, Fla. (July 1, 2020) – The Ice Flyers have announced that last season’s assistant captain, Brett D’Andrea, has signed with the team for his third season of professional hockey, all of which have been in Pensacola.

“I’m very happy to be able to come back to Pensacola for another year,” D’Andrea stated. “With last season being cut short, it feels like we left a lot on the table, and when the time comes, I’m excited to get back and get to work with all the guys.”.......

Leading Scorer Milan Signs Back with the Ice Flyers 

Pensacola, Fla. (July 30, 2020) – The Ice Flyers have announced the signing of leader scorer, Garrett Milan, for the 2020-21 season.

Bucci Set To Return To The Ice Flyers For 2020-21


Pensacola, Fla. (Sept. 2, 2020) – Ice Flyers head coach Rod Aldoff has announced the signing of center Tommaso Bucci for the upcoming 2020-21 season.

Bucci stated, “Pensacola is a great place to play. The city and people there make it an amazing place to play professional hockey and I’m looking forward to returning to the gulf coast and play some hockey in front of our great fans.”......

’I will be back’: Peoria Rivermen captain Alec Hagaman signs with Pensacola


PEORIA — This is going to hurt, Peoria Rivermen fans.

But do not blame captain Alec Hagaman. Do not blame the many other Rivermen players who are going to sign with other SPHL teams for the 2020-21 season.

The Rivermen were among the five teams in the 10-team SPHL to opt out of the season earlier this month. On Tuesday, Peoria-born captain Hagaman opted back in, signing to play for a huge rival — the Pensacola Ice Flyers.........

Pensacola, Fla. (Oct. 28, 2020) – The Pensacola Ice Flyers and head coach Rod Aldoff have announced the return of goaltender Chase Perry for the 2020-21 season that is set to being on Dec. 26.

Perry returns to Pensacola after having a solid rookie season between the pipes. He had a 13-8-7 record with a 2.49 goals against average, and a .904 save percentage.

Pensacola, Fla. (Nov. 12, 2020) – The Ice Flyers have added two more forwards for the 2020-21 season with the signing of Brennan Blaszczak and Taylor Best.

Blaszczak received his first taste of pro hockey with the Ice Flyers back in the spring after signing on Feb. 24. He played six games before the season was cut short a tallied two goals and an assist.

Pensacola, Fla. (Nov. 18, 2020) – The Pensacola Ice Flyers have added another offensive weapon with the signing of Jordan Ernst for the 2020–21 season.

Ernst becomes the third former Peoria Riverman to sign with the Ice Flyers after Peoria was forced to opt out of the upcoming season. The Mokena, Ill. native scored 21 goals and added eight assists in 45 games this past season.

Pensacola, Fla. (Nov. 23, 2020) – The Ice Flyers have announced the addition of point-producing defenseman and All-American, Duggie Lagrone, for the upcoming season.

Lagrone is entering his first pro season in North America as he spent last season overseas in France playing for Chambéry. In 26 games played, he had five goals and 13 assists for 18 points while also adding 61 penalty minutes.
